Humants # 4:

Scene switch! Arrgghhh! I know, I know. Sorry. But this page is a really important one as you will see as you read it, especially that last panel. And did you catch the reference in today’s Project: New Man page that Nick made which ties it into to this whole scene? Hmmm… yeah, things are getting very interesting now! Okay that’s the last sub-plot for this issue, I think… but anyway it’s back to action tomorrow for sure!

Be sure to check out the Humants Guidebook on the menu at the top of the Humants’ comics page. It clues you into to most of our characters and their situations. We still have a few to add so bear with us on that. We’ll have some better graphics there soon too.

Project New Man # 4:

Wednesday’s Page! Now we know the identity of Ebenezer Baal is actually Dr. Hubert Rolph! Remember him for issue 2? Sure you do.

Things are looking a little grim for Fawn. Rolph has taken out all his anger on her it seems even more so than on Nick and Bearcat.

Note the remark from Nick in the last panel of today’s page. It ties into a sub-plot running in Humants today.

Welcome to Tuesday’s tensely, titillating, tenderbox which is the Daily Mega Comics Group Updates!

Tuesday is still Kirby Time! More Kirby Clips on YouTube. This one titled: Prisoners of Gravity - Jack Kirby. You’ll see the link to part 2 & 3 when this one finishes playing, and even links to other Kirby and Lee clips. This one was done just months before Jack’s passing and just after he had some heart trouble which was eventually his demise. But even though he looks weary he’s still got that Kirby Fire about him! Just listen to his ideas. Enjoy!

Cool. Now, here’s today’s comics!

Humants # 4:

Crystal McKliston’s car is not an economy model fortunately for Man-Ark. He would never have fit into a Volkswagen’s back seat! But’s it’s not the Batmobile either, so we’re not exactly clearing traffic as we go to the scene of the Humants’ battle at Johnathan Tower’s office building. Even though Crystal was in a Reporter’s Rush to get the story, she seems to have slowed down just a bit after coming face to face with Magistar and Man-Ark. Even though she had met the Herald previously and witnesses Mageddon’s arrival and initial battle she’s still taken aback a little when these two show up. Still in the last panel when Magistar and Man-Ark learn of the battle going on, for the first time, they may want her to step on the gas just a bit!

Project New Man # 4:

Yesterday’s Page! So New Man has located the captured Bearcat and has set him free. Now he will at long last find out the identity of Ebenezer Baal! Did you guess? Ah, yeah, we knew you would!

Okay, now, ya have to admit this is some top notch dialog by Freazie White, Jr! We ’bout fail off our chairs when we read panels 1 & 2. Freazie has always had a way of entwining a bit of humor into his scripts, but he has outdone himself this time! Hop on over to New Man’s site and see for yourself. Warning: If you’re eating while reading this you best swallow before you read page 18 of PNM #4. Or else get ready to clean off your monitor.

Welcome to Monday’s mirth filled, madcap Daily Mega Comics Group Updates!

Monday is Kirby Time! Our pal Marcus Lusk alerted us to the presence of some Kirby Clips on YouTube. We’ll try to post some more of these this week including some actual interviews with The King! Today we have one titled: The King of Comics - Jack Kirby. The gentleman being interviewed is none other than Mark Evanier who was Kirby’s assistant and is now his official biographer as well as having written hundreds of comics himself. Lisa Kirby, one of Jacks’ daughters, is also featured on this clip. You’ll see the link to part 2 when this one finishes playing, plus some other links to other Kirby and Lee clips. Enjoy!

Crystal McKliston of A Crystal’s View has been alerted to a news tip by her boss. She is wasting no time and getting to the scene of the battle raging between the Herald and Chaosta with the Renegade Humants empowered by Mageddon!

But to her surprise she meets two Humants on her way out! Magistar and Man Ark were on there way to see Ms. McKliston, it seems, and they have yet to hear of the battle going on right now. That’s all about to change. See, I told you this little interlude was tied to the battle. So there!

How’d I do, Freazie? Did I do it like you said?

AHA! So now Crystal has discovered not only is Mr. Johnathan Towers a crime boss but he has some connection to the mysterious Humants as well! But we already knew that didn’t we? Hah! See the advantages of hanging around with us, you get the news before even the top reporters get it. Just one of the many perks of being a Mega Maniac!

Okay, we’ll admit that a page of Chrystal grabbing her bag and running through 5 Lakes Cable News offices is not all that exciting but you will see on the very next page how it ties into the storyline. Hang in there, web wayfarer, the action will be back in another page or 2. Really!

Project New Man # 4:

Friday’s New Page! Okay, imagine you are New Man and you just took out a couple of hoodlum guards on your way to rescue your friends. But it’s a huge complex, where do you start to look for them. Easy! With the help of your trusty Unified Field you just close your eyes and using the combined forces of Electricity, Magnetism and Gravity you scan the area to look for the Bio-electric Aura of your pals. Piece of cake!

Humants #4:

Scene Switch! ARRRGH! Freazie! How could you? Right in the midst of the big battle! Actually that’s probably Mark’s fault since he did the layouts on this issue.  Way to go guys! @*&$!!

Anyway welcome back to Crystal McCliston, ace reporter for 5 Lakes Cable News and the hit TV Show A Crystal’s View! While the Humants and Renegades begin to tear up a city block in the The Tower’s neighborhood, Crystal is finishing up the editing of her latest edition of  A Crystal’s View featuring her new expose’ on Mr. Towers himself.

But all may not be happy in Happy Valley as she’s being called on the carpet by the boss himself one Harry S. Gresmehl! Could he be ticked because Crystal continues to pursue Towers even after their  little tussle in Humant’s # 2 or is it something else? Stay tuned reader and you will see this scene shift is intricate to the story!

Very nice inks mostly by Mr. Paul Schulze on this page! Not bad pencils and dialog either guys, even if it’s not the big battle scene! Hmmph!

Project New Man # 4:

Yesterday’s Page! Don’t you wish you could control your own Unified Field so you could jump out of aircraft at several hundred feet off the ground and live to tell about it. It sure would come in handy. It would help to put the ka-bosh on a couple bad guys also before they are fully aware you are around while on the way to rescue your kidnapped friends at the hands of the evil crime lord too, eh? Yeah, I run into to that all the time, don’t you?

Humants #4:

Smasher Quinn! No, not Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, SMASHER Quinn! This guy looks like about two tons of hot tempered trouble! He’s stronger than a truck load of ox and probably smells just as bad! But personal hygiene is the least of the Herald’s concerns here!

It is notable that the Herald actually tries to reason with this guy. He tries to turn him from the “Dark Side”. Something we’ve not seen him do before. Interesting. What are you up to with this, Freazie? You’re suppose to keep me informed on these character developments ahead of time ya know! Hmmph! Writers.

Anyway, it appears Smasher Quinn is in no mood for introspection and changing his ways today but as the last panel indicates, it might be a good idea. We’ve seen what the Herald does to those he sees as having no redeeming quality. Remember that street thug from issue one? Yeah, me too. Brrrr!

Project New Man # 4:

You made it through Monday! Whew! It was touch and go there for a while. Whatever the heck that means. Welcome to Tuesday’s Daily Mega Comics Group Updates!

I don’t know about you but Monday was a bit trying for me. But today is a new day, and at least my head has stopped hurting!

Happy Veterans Day, Americans and to our neighbors North of the border, Happy Remembrance Day! A special MEGA THANKS to all those who have served protecting our nations from the world’s real, super-villains: those who would see us under a dictator’s boot!

Speaking of super-villains, today’s comics seems to be overrun with ‘em!

Humants #4:

Perimeter: Master of Munitions! He can seemingly pull weapons through some kind of warp field from some unknown location, at least unknown to us. This gives him an unlimited arsenal to draw upon along with a rather unscrupulous attitude toward any and all who get in his way. As you can see it’s enough to keep the Herald hoping as attention is diverted from Chaosta, who thinks an end around attack would work great in this situation. Fortunately for Chaosta, whom to my recollection is not bulletproof, he runs out of ammo trying to hit the Herald. Unfortunately for Chaosta, he’s still armed with plenty of that aforementioned unscrupulous attitude! Hmmm… I’m betting Chaosta won’t have any shortage of attitude in the coming pages either once those stars stop flying around her head. Stay tuned!

Inker Paul Schulze, who I still think does work like Terry Austin, is doing a great job over Mark and Freazie’s pencils. What do you think? And what about that snappy dialog by Freazie White, Jr. ? Can the guys sling syllables or what! Hah! Good job, bro!

Project New Man # 4:

Still here from yesterday: We kicked off with chapter 12 of The Haunted Man saga. New Man, Chief Thunder and Kamikaze have arrived at the abandoned Power Plant where they have pinpointed Bearcat, Fawn and Nick. Hang on folks the action is about to begin!

This week we’ll post pages for Project: New Man #4 today, Wednesday and Friday. My work load right now just won’t allow me more than that right now. We may have to maintain that schedule through the end of this issue. Hope everyone will be patience and understand. I had not intended to drag PNM # 4 out so long.
