It doesn’t get any better than this! Now, on to our comics…
We continue our look back at our previously posted web comics. We’ll be looking at all that’s come before with this feature and adding new comments as well. This month we are reviewing Project: New Man #2 and Humants #1! Stay tuned to this section every Friday for more of our archived titles.
Project: New Man #2 – Page 5 – Oops! Ebeneezer Baal got away! No big surprise there, eh? 😉 Now for the mop up!
Mark’s Remarks: One of my LEAST favorite pages of this issue! I really dislike the inks on this page. I’m to blame for that, not all of the inks are mine but I should have fixed it before it went to press. I almost did before it went to the web, but I thought better of it. We want all the original stuff here for the archives. But the next page is better as we will see in our next posting.
If I could I would change a lot! But it would not be a practical undertaking to try to revise every page I’ve ever done that I did not like. 😉
Humants #1 – Page 4 – Ouch! Bet that leaves a mark! 😉 Sure it’s a tired old cliche but there really is more to Devlin Delano than meets the eye it would appear. So if he’s not the villain, as we said last week, he is doing a fair job of standing in until one shows up. 😉
Mark’s Remarks: Okay, it’s way past midnight this time around. As much as I tried to get this one done early other things just kept coming up and getting in the way. Good thing I have regular insomnia or I couldn’t do this late night gig! 😉
I mentioned Al Lewis was the main inker on this first Humants tale. This is one of my favorite pages of this issue. Of course Freazie had it all penciled very much like what you see here. But when Allan got hold of it, as was his custom with just about everything he worked on, he added a lot of detail to it. I don’t remember how much of the background was Freazie’s but I do remember being blown away by the detail Al added. So was Freazie! It still effects me that way every time I look at it.
Any questions or comments? All are welcome.
CU Next Friday!
