Project: New Man 1 Page 03
Dave is a little upset. Tired of being the subject of mere testing and training, he decides to do something, about a public problem. After all, that’s what the government project bred him for.
Mark’s Remarks: Thomas O’Conner inked the first 3 chapters and did a bang up job! I wish I still had copies of the original pencils to share, but back in 1990 when this issue was drawn up, I did not have access to a computer and scanner or even a copier that would reproduce the blue line pencils I did. If only I had used the blue pencil to do the layouts and gone back over it with a regular lead pencil as I do now I could have copied them even then. More finished pencils would have made it easier on Thomas too, non-photo blue lines are not the easiest to see. I originally got the idea to use blue line from some work I saw by John Romita, Jr. The idea was you don’t have to erase the pencil marks after it’s inked.
