This looks bad for the home team! The mad gunman is making a stand with a hostage. Dave has struggled keeping up with this maniac up to this point even with the use of his Unified field. How can he possibly stop this guy now with any hope of keeping him from taking another life?

One of the more detailed pages. Throughout this issue we dropped clues to Dave’s past but at this point we began to reveal he served as some kind of special operative in Vietnam. Much more would be revealed of Dave’s past in the backup story for Humants #1. Hard to believe that war ended more than 35 years ago!
