Reporters can be so insensitive. Dave’s first outing as a public protector was not at all what he bargained for. It’s funny how the past can rise up and kick you in the teeth that way.

Mark’s Remarks: Obviously Dave has not gotten to the course on how to handle the media in his training as New Man. Although I can’t say he handled it all that badly. What could he have said? Should he have acted like the football coach at the end of the game and given his summery of how the game played out? He just witnessed the death of 30 people including someone who was once his best friend, his brother in arms, someone who backed him up in firefights during the war. And to add salt to the wound it was at Dave’s hand his friend died. Certainly he had no choice in the matter, but that would not wipe away the pain of his choices. This day had started out much brighter and lighter, with no thought of his former life. Now, those things he thought he was free of have come back to haunt him once more in a major way.
