Project: New Man 2 Page 1
This one starts off with a bit of a switch. Freazie penciled the first chapter or 2 from Mark’s layouts. Mark was suppose to ink it but when it looked like he would not have time they brought in Alan Baker who had sent in some samples in a submission earlier and actually gave a little assistance on number 1. This was suppose to solve the multiple inkers problem we had on number 1, even though it turned out great anyway! Alan agreed to do the whole issue but some health problems prevented him from finishing. So with a looming deadline and very little time, Allan Lewis and Mark jumped back on board to save the day. So part of the first couple chapters are a bit rushed. Midway through chapter 2 most of the penciling and inking was taken over by Mark.
Mark’s Remarks: Freazie and I had worked together on some black & white small press comics before we started Legacy Comics. We even used some of the same characters seen in Humants and Project: New Man in the small press books. We had developed a working relationship where we would plot, he would pencil and write then I would ink and handle production. We turned out some decent material for small press and it was our springboard to launch Legacy Comics. We did not take any time off but jumped right into Legacy Comics after the Small Press stint.
