Project: New Man 2 Page 2

The second issue of our series introduced a mysterious character who would prove to be New Man’s nemesis: Ebeneezer Baal. Baal would Haunt our hero for the next 3 issues and be set up to possibly be a re-occurring villain. He was a villain in the truest meaning of the name and proved it along the way and most of all when his true identity was revealed in Project: New Man #4!

Mark's Profile PicMark’s Remarks:

Freazie did a great job penciling from  my layouts, but he never felt all that comfortable doing it. Regardless, he persevered and you will see more of this combo in later tales. Alan Baker started out great too, it’s just too bad he could not finish the work. Allan Lewis always did a good job for us and he was one of the fastest that ever worked with us.

On the story: Freazie, once again, had a rough plot originated by myself, which we fine tuned over a few hours of long distance phone plotting sessions, then after the pencils were done Freazie scripted the story. Then Billy, who never got near enough credit,  did his usual bang up job of lettering.

I’ve said it before and I’ll reaffirm it now. I plan to go back to the New Man story and do more with the series as well as the Humants as soon as time allows. I’ve had several fans ask me about this since we revised the old Legacy Comics line. That is a great compliment to say the least.
