Mega Tales 1 Cover

Here at last we begin the Mega Tales series. This will be our first full color web comic and it is appropriate it is this story which has that honor. The Tess story began back in the lat ’80′s and was originally conceived by writer/creator Greg Legat as a black & white independent. But when J. Adam Walters inked Mark Poe’s pencils, we decided to have him ink it as if it would be colored. There was an outside chance it might be the first color comic book published by Dimension Graphics. We knew if we did go with the Black & White we could add more gray halftones to the art later. As it turns out the market started it’s decline for independent publishers, and Dimension realized it did not have enough money or advanced orders to publish, so Tess, after a lot of hard work went on the shelf… for over 20 years!

Tess,  is short for tesseract. If you don’t know what a tesseract is  Wikipedia defines it as:

In four dimensional geometry, the tesseract, also called an 8-cell or regular octachoron, is the four-dimensional analog of the cube, which is in turn the three dimensional analog of the square.

Anyway, Tess is a young lady who is a living tesseract. She comes from another dimension and in our dimension she can teleport herself or just about anything else just about any where. She manifests the power in a number of ways other than teleportation and she has a cute little 4th dimensional dog with a very high I.Q. named Nostradamus. In short: we are 3D beings, Tess and Nostradamus are 4D beings.

Check back Friday for our inside front cover and next Wednesday for page one of our story.
